The boys and girls varsity teams were unable to gain momentum in their matches against Charleston Catholic at the the Bishop's Cup finals.  Scores for both games, St. Joe 0, Charleston Catholic 3.  The boys kicked off at 2 PM and played good defense, keeping CC at bay until the 30th minute when #7 Sam Revercomb finshed off a pass from #1 Tommy Trupo amist a scramble inside the 6 yard box.  Charleston Catholic quickly went back on the attack, scoring again in the 35th minute when #6 Adam Fox tapped the ball into the net off a St. Joe defender's block of a shot on goal.  CC's Sam Revercomb scored again in the 49th minute, sealing the victory for CC.

The boys varsity plays @ Herbert Hoover on Tuesday, 9/14 at 7 PM

The girls played tough and held the CC girls from scoring until the 21st minute, when #9 Emily Blake scored on a breakaway.  CC quickly pounced again in the 23rd minute when Blake scored on a breakaway.  Catholic ended the first half by placing another goal on the board when #13 Hanna George fed a corner kick into #7 Victoria Thomas.  St. Joe held CC scoreless in the 2nd half.

The girls varsity plays home against Midland Trail on Tuesday, 9/14 at 5:30 PM.
