August 26, 2010 @ Cross Lanes Christian -

The boys and girls varsity teams racked up wins yesterday in action at Cross Lanes Christian School on a beautiful day in front of a supportive and sizable crowd of students and parents.

The SJ boys came out and quickly took control of of game momentum, ending in a 1-0 win. Senior #2 Ethan Karnes headed the ball in off a beautiful service from Senior #32 Nick Turner in the 6th minute of play.  The Irish continued their pressure for a second goal through the rest of the game, putting an additional 8 shots on goal that were saved by the Cross Lanes keeper. Junior keeper #1 Rob Blair had a total of two saves in the game.  His second save came late in the 2nd period with a well-timed tip to deflect a hard, steep-angled shot out of the right corner from a Crusaders striker
