The girls varsity team earned their 10th win in action against Bluefield last night in a 4 - 0 match under clear crisp fall skies and chilly temperatures. St. Joe controlled possession throughout the game, placing their first goal in the net at the 30th minute when Senior #23 Hannah Edwards connected off a right-left cross from Senior #12 "Moe" Lopez at the top of the 18 yard box. Hannah scored again in the 25th minute on a pretty chip over the keeper's head on a well-placed pass from Senior #11 Dani Lobo, putting the Lady Irish up 2 - nil at the half. St. Joe scored again in the 59th minute on another chip-in from just inside the left side of the 18 yard box by Edwards through the Bluefield keeper's hands, assisted by Lopez. The girls' final goal came 2 minutes later when Senior #20 Niki Lobo connected off a fumble by the Bluefield keeper inside the 6 yard box resulting from a St. Joe Corner kick.
